As you can see from my sig I'm lucky enough to own two Bongos, the 4 is a HH and the 5 a HS. They are the only Bongos that I've played.

They do sound considerably different. The HS has a more 'woody' sophisticated tone that I actually prefer.

Now I am tempted to order a 20th Anniversary SR5 to complement rather beautifully my Bongo 5, (and because it looks great and I just want one). I am thinking do I go for HH for the increase in variety or will the HS do for the SR5 what it does for my Bongo 5.

Now I know that circuits and pickups will be different but I thought that some of you guys who know all the companies products well might have a little insight you wouldn't mind sharing.

I think it'll be the HS, assuming it's available, if no-one can convince me otherwise.

Any help/advice appreciated

Peter

One thing I like about the HS that you can't get from the HH is the single coil configuration on the soloed bridge pickup and the single coil neck (of course).
