I hate going to GC as it always gives me a headache and most of the sales staff are maroons. But, that's where I first played a Sterling which is what got me into this EB compulsion. I didn't buy it there but it'll probably be the place where I first play a dual pupper too.

I'll have to agree with Father Gino whole-heartedly about GC. I feel the same way about the Guitar Center in Hollywood, specifically. It's amazing that they sale anything in there! It's a loud tourist trap. One can never find a testing cable because they have either been lost or taken up by people who want to show off and not buy anything. Plus, I went in there to order my SR5 that I'm waiting for, and the guy (who was nice, by the way) was going to call Fender to order my MusicMan!!! He thought Fender owned MusicMan.

So, after a couple of other signs that I shouldn't be ordering anything through them ever again, I walked out with my cash. I called up the same dealer from which I ordered my SR4 in Las Vegas to order my SR5.

Pat's Desert Music is a great MusicMan dealer and deserves to be commended. They have always made me feel welcome (when I lived in LV) when I visited their store, they always took care of business, and I got a great deal on both of my major dealings with them...

...The kind of service one would expect from a smaller store that can remember you by name and that appreciates your business. Compliments to EB for making them one of your dealers. The only thing better would be ordering directly from EB. Oh! And before I forget, GC was where I tried my first Bongo.

No GC close to me and as a result I have never gotten to play a Bongo 5.
Count it as you will but some times even goofy sales people can make one happy.

I tried a HH Stingray at GC tonight. Nice bass, reasonable price. Must have just arrived, not a fingerprint on it. If I didn't have a HS Sterling on order, might have been an early Christmas.

I was trying to get over to GC today to try out a production model but got overcome by events.

Mebbe I'll try to swing by tomorrow.

I really am growing to hate the holidays.

BTW, I like Guitar Center just fine.

If GC would catalog naked women and cheap Bongos they would rule the earth in anyone's opinion.

IMHO

I'd kill for them to put a GC in Columbus, GA! I'm sure Travis wouldn't mind either. Seeing as how we're boycotting the only music store around here that carries Music Man basses.

I got the call last night that the Atlanta GC got both a 4 and 5 string HH Stingray. Wanna guess which colors? :D
Black 4 and Sunburst 5.

just out of curiousity, which bass will be available, you just might have a customer..

i'd rather dump my cash on a buttercream than saphire black.

pm me if it's available.
