hi folks. hope all is well with everyone. I'm thinking of converting my Stingray 5 to use a high C string instead of a low B. Just moving my E A D and G up. People do it all the time to other basses but I've never done it. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with it and what I may have to change or adjust. Thanks for reading and for any help Joe

As long as the smaller strings don't sit sloppily in the nut, it shouldn't be a problem. You'll have to adjust the truss rod for sure...probably the saddles too.

I kinda do that on my bass, except I am tuned to C instead of B so I do use thinner strings and all but it makes it harder to tune since everything after F is a natural.
