Hi Everyone,
I am new to this forum after recently buying a 30th anniversary edition silhouette special. I really fell in love with this guitar after being turned away from single coil guitars *cough* Stratocaster *cough*. I could not believe how aggressive these little single coil pickups sounded when distorted. But I was also blown away by how crystal clean they were when sent through a clean channel.

So anywho.....here are some pics. Unfortunately for me, I have to sell this guitar as I just sent my car in for $1400 in repairs, and I figured that there was no better place to come than a place where Ernie Ball lovers reside. So being that it is only 1 of 30 guitars made, what do you all think it is worth?

There is one other guitar in the city like it and it is going for $3000 CDN. It is number 1/30.

Check it out:

Well, the pictures aren't loading for me here, but I think the guitar you're talking about is the CMIA special edition Silhouette Special (NOT an Axis Super Sport). Thirty of these were produced for the Canadian Music Industry Association's 30th anniversary a few years back. They're basically a Sil. Spec. with three singles, a custom blonde paint, Sterling's signature (except for #30, which has Wayne Gretzky's sig. too - WTF  ) and a CMIA logo on the neck plate. I recently passed on one for $1200CDN, and another recently sold at Songbird for $1200CDN. There's one near you at Capsule Music that was originally something like $2000 but the price has been lowered to $1350 (you can see it here)... Basically, when you can buy a new Sil. Spec. at Steve's for $1500 or so, there's not much incenitive to poney up big cash for a somewhat anemic special edition. Maybe if you find someone who works for CMIA, they'll pay a slight premium for it... Otherwise, if you want to move it, you're best off pricing it below $1200...

I saw the pics before they stopped working. Nice guitar...3 single coils not my style nor is the color (off-whiteish creme...EBMM version of a strat :D) it is a siloette special...but like Jimi D said, it's not worth as much as you'd think...at least not to most people.
