Hello all - been lurking on the forum for a while and decided to join in the fun!

I'm without balls at the moment but if things go to plan I should (again) be the very satisfied owner of a JP6. I had a Mystic Dream (inlays, no piezo) until recently and it was a real beauty in every sense. Unfortunately I've had a bit of a rough year and recently had to part with most of my guitar and bass collection to pay the bills after being made redundant from my job - no fun at all - especially seeing the JP6 go...ouch.

Still, things are looking up now and I'm hoping to get my hands on another JP6 when the finances will allow and I'm back in work. Either that or a Y2D! For the moment I play a USA Steinberger with a custom "Vine of Life" neck by Moses Graphite from Oregon; Dimebucker in the bridge and 2 Duncan Hotrails middle and neck. That's my only geetar now. D'oh! Guess I have GAS for USA guitars!

This forum has been a nice place to hang whilst I've been dreaming about getting a JP6 and I enjoyed everyone's pics of their own fine EB/ MM axes - some gorgeous examples - I'm familiar with the top notch craftmanship on EB guitars and basses and hope to soon be enjoying it first hand for myself once again. It's strange how bits of wood, plastic and metal can make a person so happy!

All the best from Wimbledon, UK!

Hi trev. I envy you and feel bad for you at the same time. I envy you cos you had and have actually seen a JP6. I'm still waiting for mine! I feel bad that you had to go through the wrench of selling it though. But mostly, I admire you. It would break my heart to sell any of my guitars. You have (and technically have had) way more balls than me my man! Glad to hear things are looking up!

Thanks for the welcome!

When I had to put the JP6 up on a certain auction website last year and it sold I was gutted I can tell you. JP's are pretty hard to get hold of in the UK (as I'm sure you know) and I paid what amounted to an arm, a leg and a kidney for it brand new!

Still, it lights a fire under my arse so I can get to buy another one! Hopefully won't be too long. The Steinberger sounds great but there's something about the JP - the way it sits on you; the way your picking hand falls into place on the cutaway, the neck, fretwork, sound...mmmmmmmmm JP's...

oooooooo don't. Mine is 3 weeks overdue now. Not that I'm complaining. I know it's more to do with the timing of the shipping. And I know it's been made to order so I'm happy :) . It's just the wait that's killing me. When I get it, the first thing I'll play is the solo from Home as a tribute to you and your plight :D . RAWK ON!!!!
