At my new site, this is one I mashed up with a bit of help from a mate. I am not a web designer or have any wish to be one.

Could you have a look at it and let me know what you think. I could do with any help or tips you might have.

Oh and check out the gallery page for lots of ebmm shots !

I would also love to stick the ebmm logo on the site, would anyone know who to contact for permission to do it ? Just a thought !

Deja Groove

Thanks guys

Very nice web page, ...I see Your band is doing similar job like mine! ;)

Congrats on the new web design!

I have just one suggestion if You don't mind, ...ask Your web designer to put pics into the Flash player mode for a slideshow option, it's attractive, folks just like that!

And for the end just to add:
-Your band have two beauties, Your 25th Music Man bass and ...Your singer, of course!

Dave, I like the look of the web page. Looks professional.

As Keko already said, you should use Flash to present the photos as a slide show within the web page for the user not to lose the visual contact to the web page.

I'd remove the low resolution photos from the gallery. They simply don't match the quality of the web page. The photos should also (more or less) be equal in size and not contain too much "photoshop" effects.

The sound example from the playlist is great. Add some more. :)

Oh, yeah!

Very nice lead vocal You got there Deja Groove folks! Congrats!

P.S. ...when I close my eyes reminds me (just for a second in some tunes) to Dolly Parton!
(I bet she loves US Country music!)

Looks good, easy to read and navigate, the vital information is there.

As a former web designer, I'd suggest to avoid Flash at all cost. It's proprietary technology, and most of what it's used for can be done with plain DHTML anyways.

I took a quick(ish) tour and the site seems quite tidy and most bits seems to work as intended. The WP theme suits the band - or better: the audience - well. Your content is nice and brief and needs only a little more work on a few details.

I too would advise against a flash slideshow. It's proprietary, slow, a PITA to implement (at least into most WP themes), Google hates it and it doesn't really give you anything that can't be done with well tried and tested JS/CSS solutions.

But before I go into details: Do you run your own installation of WordPress? If so, do you have the know-how to tweak stylesheets and scripts? And would you rather have my nitpicking via PM or in the thread, if at all? :D

Cheers

Yeah not knowing how to use flash is what stopped me ! I am sure it's easy enough but time is also an issue. But your right it doesn't seem too popular with web designers

It has a very efficient, corporate feel IMO which is odd for a band. I don't mind as I am a function above everything else kinda guy but some folks might like a more "personal" feel.

And the singer's shoes are awful. They should be close toed with that style (IMVHO.. well you asked for it)

Yeah it mostly the corporate Market we are chasing.i also like things straight to the point so that prob came across too

She had shoes on ? Sorry, kidding. She has the most amazing collection of shoes, she was going for a bit of a rock chic type vibe here with the boot thing. But see your point on the open toe. But hey I am in my 30's and male so I really know less about shoes than I do about web design

Cheers dude

Good, fast loading site, easy to navigate. Nice work. For the record I have no problem with Avril's choice of footwear.

+1 on avoiding a Flash slideshow - these days a lot of people will be visiting your website using mobile devices that may not be Flash compatible.

I wonder how many Knuckleheads are also their band's webmaster. I'd guess that more often than not it would be the bass player who has a shot at doing the webpage, if it's done by a band member. I put together a website for our Stones tribute band a few weeks ago .... http://www.rollingstoned.com.au/
