I have been thinking of string my 5 string bongo E-A-D-G-C, i had heard rummors that the piezo didn't handle the High C well. Is that true? I think it would sound killer....

You may have heard that from me. I found that when stringing my Piezo Bongo with a high C, that the piezo didn't respond on the high C if I kept my action really low. Bassmonkeee says he has had no problems with this. Of course, I play with extremely low action most of the time (as low as possible), so you may find there not to be any problem, or I could have just had a weird saddle altogether.

I think you will probably be okay, you may just have to experiment a bit, for all I know it could have just been the string as well.

My action is super low as well. Was the sound noticeable uneven when blended or only at piezo only mode.

Piezo only really, because when it was blended the mag was picking it up fine and it didn't leave the c string sounding different. You always try picking up a single C string and giving it a whirl, there are some dealers out there who will sell a single C.

It might depend on your setup and your strings.

When I set up two of my Bongos (fretted and fretless, both with piezos) EADGC, I used red-silked ACME flats and a slightly higher action. No problems at all--sounded great, and felt great.
