Hi,

I have an Axis Sport and sometimes live (not when I play Jazz :)), the high E-string jumps under the edge of my neck PU so it stucks there. I play 11-48 Power Slinkys in standard E. I know I kinda hit the strings hard, but is there something you think I could change (it's sometimes a little bit annoying, but in first place I don't want to damage the PU)? I gave it to a guitar-tech, he suggested adding a PU Cover, but I don't like the look and would just do it if there's no ither solution...

Cheers,
Julian

Hi Julian, it happens to me also especially while strumming kinda hard, I live with it it happened to me only twice and in rehearsal so its really not a big deal

the only thing I can think of is to add a PUPs cover you can order from Di Marzio. I think the chrome cover would look great on your Axis Sport ;)

I'm just glad it doesn't "pop" my pickup out. lol,lol I think Vai has some nicer custom made type plastic guards now.
