high e-string keeps breaking in the middle of the string on my new JP7

I kind of wondered about the sliding off the fretboard myself. I did check the fret job on the edges.. smooth as butter.

Music Man tech suggested to go up to a 10 on the high E. It also broke in the same spot within 24 hours. There has got to be something there I cannot see, even with my lighted magnifier.

Darn, I love this guitar otherwise
