Have a MM Stingray with 3 band EQ and Piezo bridge and I am a finger and thumb player. I am having a problem when I am in the upper range on mainly the D and G string but it is also weak when in the upper range of the E and A stings too.I have tried dialing in the EQ and nothing helps Ive tried adjusting the pickup but nothing seems to help is it my amp or is it my bass. My other problem is when I use the piezo pickup even with a blend I get a nasty clicking noise and I am to nervous to adjust it was hoping for suggestions.

Not much useful info there. Not that you've failed to
clearly describe the symptoms, but not much to go
on for a solution. No way from that info to blame it
on either the bass or the amp.
One thing you did NOT say is "It's got a new battery"
so be sure you can say that. I don't know what the
piezos sound like on a weak battery, but the battery
does power the buffer circuit which allows the piezos
to be played thru a typical amp without clacking and
clicking. Piezos lacking any buffering will clack, click,
and sound "cruntchie" thru a typical amp [an atypical
amp would be an acoustic instrument amp with very
high input impedence].
Another thing not mentioned is whether you've had
any local tech look into it, or whether it's still under
warrantee.
P.S. Unless you own the only bass amp in a 100 mi
radius, it's easier for you to determine whether it's
your amp or your bass, than it would be for us to do
so via online discussion.
So ... fresh battery and some other amp, then you
will have more useful info for your next step [if you
still need a next step].

I've had this problem once at a gig when my 'Ray HP started to make that clicking noise midway through a gig and lost power , I immediately thought that my amp (TC electronic ) had developed a fault as i had replaced the `Rays battery a week before with a non Duracell brand, Luckily during our break i checked the voltage with a battery checker and noticed the battery was nearly flat ! The vocalist gave me his spare 9v which is used on a radio mike and the noise stopped and power was restored,Lesson learned was never buy "budget" batteries and always keep a spare,A cool thing about the Ray with piezos is that on the back of the bass there´s an extra (very small) control plate. Under that plate you´ll find trim pots for each string. In the event that you needed more or less of any given string, you can adjust that. There´s also an overall level trim pot for the piezos as a whole. You can adjust how much you do or don´t want from the piezos. Hope this helps....
