High school may indeed suck, but being poor, unemployable and ignorant for the rest of your life sucks a bit more.

Or, as Dean Wormer put it: "Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son."

Now, get those pencils out of your nose!

Ah, high school. Such memories. Been there. Done that. Got the t-shirt. Never going back.

Actually High school is but the first step in the education needed to accomplish life in this day and age. Busting concrete with a sledge hammer is not only boring just like high school it is very tiring.

Here's how the equation works:

1. Do good in high school. Forget about being popular and all that crap. It seems like the end of the world when you're there, but there's a lot bigger world out there. If you get excellent grades in high school (which isn't hard if you actually try), you get to:

2. Go to college for free. Some people even get paid just to go to school. That's a good thing. If you don't have to worry about paying for school, you don't have to work while in college. That'll give you plenty of time to get good grades, and a little free time to chase sorority girls. Major in something real. Not psychology, or communications. If you get good grades in college, you'll:

3. Have a high-paying job waiting for you when you get out. That's nice. These days, companies come to colleges and recruit the smart kids. That sure beats pounding the pavement and begging for a chance. Make sure you're one of the smart kids.

End sermon.
