G'day guys,

Another vid - playing the Y2D (stop tail) through the ENGL Powerball.

This one is Deep Purple's Highway Star (Jon Lord's keys solo). I love those arpeggios - great solo - I hope I'm doing some form of justice!

That's cool. I play Highway Star, but never tried the keyboard solo it must have taken some practice.

Great !

On the transcription I have (Guitar & Techniques - February 1999. A tab made by Guthrie Govan) the first arpeggios are played on octave higher.

Please guys, we are trying to capture our sentiments strictly using one word. Let's try this again :)

Yeah it did :)
I only initially learnt it because we were doing a show with a song or two from every band we cover and we really wanted to do this song but our keyboard player wasn't going to be performing at that show...so I learnt it (occasionally I'll double the line along with the keys player depending on what sort of show we're playing.....ie. if it's a Purple tribute show then I don't double him....if it's a night of mixed bands then 'what the hell...I'll double the solo'.

That's an issue I missed. But just managed to get hold of a copy on E Bay, so I might give this a try.
