Pic of Hipshot. I thought getting it in matt-black would look interesting, matches the pick up!!
In the 3rd picture you can see the diffrence from the straight post as apposed to the standard that tapers.

I have extenders on several of my basses. They work as advertised. Truthfully, I never use them and they simply add weight to the headstock. If you don't know whether you'll actually use it, I'd recommend not bothering with it.
