Gentlemen, I'd like to install a Hipshot Detuner on my 2002 Stingray SR5 or Stingray 5, or whatever it's called.

Can you tell me which model of Hipshot Detuner I need? There are several and I'm not sure how to identify the one for this bass.

Thanx,
Geri O

I have the BT1 model on both my Stingrays. They do 2 versions - a standard and a short key. The short key is perfect but if you can't find one then the standard length one is hardly any different. I have the standard ones and they're fine, just a few mm longer than the stock keys.

Thanx for the reply.

I had figured out that the BT1 is the tuner I needed by mid-afternoon. While ordering it from Best Bass Gear, they realized that the long key is no longer made. I doubt that will affect much in my situation. They seemed surprised to find this info out.
