Before I start this thread Ernie Ball has a link to it's history here
http://www.music-man.com/history.html

I'd love to see a thread that made reference to EB MM guitars since they were introduced.

I put a thread on the general discussion forum here
http://www.ernieball.com/forums/gen...-ernie-ball-history-guitar-pics-required.html

but maybe it would have more impact here?

There are knuckleheads here on the forum that have some of the early guitars - so how about showing off thier guitars?

Spud

edit

Just a suggestion - guys can we have a short narrative with the pics - otherwise it's just a ..... collection of pics:)

Guess I haven't explained myself too well on this?

I was wondering whether the guys with early versions of EB guitars would post pictures onto this thread - kind of a phot blog showing the evolution of EB guitars?

Some of the first EVH's Lukes Pets Axis morses Silos Als

Recessed neckplates .. deleted colours .. any odd quirk that these early guitars had - early style trems machine heads blah blah blah
A thread for annoracks ...

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In British slang an anorak ( /ˈænəræk/) is a person who has a very strong interest, perhaps obsessive, in niche subjects. This interest may be unacknowledged or not understood by the general public. The best known explanation of the term is the use of anoraks (a type of rain jacket) by train spotters, a prototype group for interest in detailed trivia.

I'll get you started Spud :D

Not as early as some but a Nov '99 discontinued Purple MM90 ASS/Piezo. This one has the recessed plate. My son just used it this morning for his first guitar lesson and I think it's earned an outing to tonights gig as I haven't played it in months. I've not seen another one the same so I guess it's a pretty rare one.

lol nice one Kev. Ok so the ball has started rolling slowly.

I remember when I first joinned the forum there was an Albert Lee - hh straight through neck. I bet Foggy has a picture of it somewhere?

What about the SSS Axis there's gotta be quite a few photos of those kicking about.

Ernie has some rare JP's - I'm sure he'd love to post some of them ?:D

This is strictly not a historic EB but was a conversion done by knucklehead Art (I think he rejoinned under a different name?)
It was a 2 p/u AL years before HH Als became available.

Allright - I'll play! Some of these are one offs, and some just rare. Some are protos - and some are custom jobs, too!

This is starting to heat up know and some great axes are popping up. Love the 06 LE AL and it just has a very classy vibe to it, I have never seen a S-S-S Axis before and never even knew one existed, is that from the vault or were those actually offered at onetime. I would have to believe the insane psychadelic marble like finished JP would belong to Ernie.
