This just came in today from the UK. So glad I found this one and could raise the funds to buy it. My fourth Music Man and my second AL HH (really really like this model)! (Special thanks to mr. Spudmurphy who posted a review on the forum of exactly this guitar, very helpful when buying form a distance)

Done a little setup and it sounds and plays awesome. Has quite a different feel to it with the hardtail, glossy vs. rosewood neck and the ebony fretboard. The sound is a bit more focused than the rosewood AL, a bit tighter. They complement each other very well.
The overall look of this guitar is dark and I like it (almost a metal guitar..). Black sugar is very subtle, I tried to capture it in the pictures but it's hard.

Anyways, proof that it exists:

Not sure if I'd swap the pick guards but the black would look killer with a pearloid PG. jzeijen, Your classic white AL actually inspired me to get my Classic white AL. I just need a white pearloid PG. Those are some sexy guitars there my friend.

Thanks! Yes, the classic white AL looks really good with that pickguard. No swapping will be done.. What color pickguard do you have on the AL?

Took a picture of the whole collection, they sure look nice together. I have gone from 0 EBMM and 7 non EBMM guitars to 4 EBMM and 2 non EBMM guitars in 2 years.. Really pleased with this set.

Now that is one fine set of guitars, congratulations ;) Oh and I agree I would swap the scratch plates over on those AL's.

Plain white on this one, although I have MM90's in mine. I have a True Gold Roasted with White pearloid, MM90's. These AL's are sick.
