Hi guys,
I'm new to this forum as I just got hold of my new Sterling JP100D in a trans black finish. It an awesome axe with the action set to 0.045 (measured at the 21st fret) on the Stew Mac string height gauge. Still no buzz at all. Guitar was setup really nicely from the factory and minimal adjustments required.
However, I'd like to also mention that this was the only well assembled JP100 out of the 5 I have tried at my local guitar shop. The rest had some major quality issues like the truss rod being jammed, or the neck was too thick (like a 50's LP neck) and a huge differences in paint finish etc.
I'm glad out of that batch, I got this great one. I was taking precautions just in case I was sold a lemon. Had a very bad experience with a JP50 in January this year (severely high action even after trussrod adjustment, fret buzzing all over, neck can never keep straight - always bowing down), but decided to give Sterling guitars another shot.
No regrets getting this JP100D.
My apologies if I'm offending anyone with my complaints above. Just wanted to share some info on the Sterling guitars being sold in my country, Malaysia.

I currently own one except that mine is the Ruby Red Burst. Beautiful guitar. Plays awesomely well too.
