I am not going to stop posting this stuff. Please understand that it isnt a focus group here and we arent soliciting design input. ....

I for one want to thank you BP for posting this. It gives me something to look forward to after long days and nights at work. Kind of a harmless form of eye candy. I think I was looking more forward to seeing this new bass than Christmas this year.

I just looked up some photos of the 20th Silhouette. It's a dead ringer...separated at birth. It even has the same contrast stripe between the top and the body.

I just can't believe that NONE of us saw this coming. Are we really that clueless?

Yes. Yes, we are.

The tone is so unbelievable. It really is just flat out awesome. You can't judge the instrument without playing it!!! It will be available in H, HH, HS, no piezo. Multiple pickups will all be in parralell. On the single H Dudley has came up with smoking new series sound for position 2. Only one color finish which is titled "California Sunset" at the moment. Maple and Rosewood boards and matching is an option. If you kiddies are good I'll post one with a single H and maple board later today.. : )

I want to thank everyone here at EBMM, without them we couldn't put out the sweet pieces we are doing. Every department really came up big here.

We will do fretless too.

Alnico, and parallel??!!
That's a dream come true to me for a single H, as I admittedly always wished the SR5-H sounded more StingRay like, than Sterling like.

Looks like I'll be getting in line for one.

Last question....what is the case gonna look like? :)

Yo, Snoop Dargz, yo yo yo.

(Am I freakin' HIP or what?)

Besides you, because frankly I know that you do the real work, could we maybe hear about who the prime people were behind this bad momma?

You Americans love us Brits, so do it for the Brits.

I think you're still riding that Beatles wave. Without them, we'd think you were just us with a funny accent and thick beer.

(I do not, however, discount the Davy Jones influence.)

BP, I'm going to start a new thread about 'free speech' issues.

Available when? And how much?
Just beautiful. I've always thought EBMM should put out a naked version of the SR5 with a fancy top.
You guys have out done yourselves.

Great decision on leaving out the Pick Guard.

I love it... First of all it's got a nice dark stain with the maple, as opposed the the natural finished top of the older ones. I loved them but I like this one better.
I have two questions: what is the approximate weight and what is the retail?
I only play a Bongo 5 and a 1988 fretless stingray 4 at the moment.
This is one SR5 that could come back in my life.

Now let me give you the reason for the no pickguard. As I have said this is a bass that pays tribute to the original whilst trying to integrate the progress we have made over the celebrated period. This is our goal anytime we decide to recognize a period of time for one of our designs.

One of the biggest breakthroughs we have made is the three body tone woods. With this bass the basic body is ash, the tone block is Mahoghany and the top is maple. Each one really does add something. We really couldn't see covering a rare and beautiful piece of maple with a plastic pickguard. It seemed tacky.

By the way the Alnico with the tone block is amazing.

These people fu*king know what they're doing.

My first EBMM hasn't even arrived and I'm already itchin' to start saving up again for this beauty. Thanks a lot you jerks. :D

(p.s. had a dream my stingray arrived in a little box full of pieces and said "some assembly required" i woke up sweating hahaha)
