One of the wiser people I know on this board submitted this holiday greeting last year. I have been waiting all year to bring this back around as I feel it is still appropriate. "Yall are the greatest bunch of people and I mean that from the bottom of my heart."

mbgreene said:
Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all;"

PLUS
"A fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great, (not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country or is the only "AMERICA" in the western hemisphere), and without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith, choice of computer platform, or sexual orientation of the wisher."
Disclaimer: This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/himself or others and no responsibility for any unintended emotional stress these greetings may bring to those not caught up in the holiday spirit.

And... Oh By Golly Have a Holly Jolly Christmas This Year :)

Not sure quite how much I'll be around in the coming days/weeks, so I'll take this opportunity to wish you all a great holiday season.

Peace
JB

merry christmas everyone

i'm really in the christmas spirit at the moment, after a very successful 'Carols by Candlelight' at our church just this weekend. The SUB peformed better than ever, really dispelling any myths about versaility :)

oh yeah - hopefully you'll also realise the true meaning of Christmas...

Since I will be working I also wish all a very Merry Christmas; Happy Hanukkah; and remember the reason for the season.

And don't forget...only 11 more shopping months 'til the next Ramadan!

:D

Y'know, I really like it when people wish me a happy (insert anything you like in this space).

I DON'T like it when people take exception to others wishing them a happy (insert anything you like in this space). Or when the whole PC thing gets out of hand.

Did you know that Target won't let the Salvation Army set up their little pots out in front of the door? That's just WRONG, no matter what your religious affiliation, or lack thereof.

It's all about wishing people well...a simple human impulse. Something that's all too sparse in this fouled-up world we live in.

FWIW, I wish all of you well. If you've had a good year, then may you have more of the same. If you've had a bad year, may things go better for you.

May you treat each other well, and be treated likewise.
