So I arrived at the Hollywood Guitar Center around 4:45P.M. and luckily I came early because Hollywood traffic and parking is an absolute nightmare. I actually caught the last street parking slot. Woo!

The event was outstanding. Started off with an introduction by BP, a few performances (A motown improv, Little Wing -which happens to be my favorite song :D and also a question and comments session.) Great atmosphere, and I must say they all have an absolutely wonderful sense of humor, great time!

Thanks BP for the event, truly one I enjoyed!

Anyways, pics of the event!

Together at the end!

I posed a pic with BP but looks like the guy taking the picture didn't hold down the button all the way. Argh! But ah well.

BP gave a shoutout to the Knuckleheads, so I'm sure other forumites were there, just couldn't stick around to meet ya'all! Sorry, let me know which one of ya'all came! Didn't get Steve or Luke to sign anything had to bail early to get back to studying, :(

Well there you are folks! Pics as promised, now its time to get back to crunching! Finals and Term paper time!

I was there and took some pics as well...but the ones Steve posted pretty much covered the events of the night.

Just an awesome evening of discussion, music and humor. Three songs were played with some extended jamming, and the absolute highlight for me was Little Wing. Luke and Steve just tore the roof off....it was an amazing version. BP said at the beginning of the night that the session was being filmed for You Tube...it's a must see for those who weren't there.

I had the pleasure of meeting BP, Luke (who both signed my Dargie) and Steve...along with Dargin and Brian who I ran into at the end of the night and said hi.

It was a privilege to see 2 of the best guitar players in the world in the same room...doing what they do best!

Here are a few more pics:

BP Giving us some slap

The 25th is a tone monster...as Luke demonstrates:

The pics don't do the gold on this Luke justice...it jumps off the body...stunning in person:

The Fab 4 during the Q&A:

A big thank you to Sterling (great slap technique on that Bongo too BP), Luke, Steve and John Ferraro for an amazing evening!

It was a lot of fun. I brought my 2 kids and they enjoyed it as well.

Lots of insight from LUKE & Morse, but unfortunately some of it was out of my league. Alot of Steve Morse's stuff just goes right over my head. But some of his tips of certain techniques could prove very useful.

It was great to listen listen to and meet Steve Morse and LUKE and Sterling, and of course here them play. Most of it was improv jamming which I always like. BTW, Sterling played two great bass solos. In all seriousness, BP is a damn good bass player.

It was a very cool evening and I am glad I could attend and bring my kids. Thanks to BP, Morse, LUKE, Ferraro and Guitar Center.

OOOOH You Tube.....cheesy handheld point and shoot and the thankfully cut it off just in time for my solo! GC has a high Def version and is mixed properly....

THe funny thing is the start of that song and the pickup spring on the treble side came loose and I only could play the e and a string and the techs at gc didnt have a screwdriver anbd couldnt understand that what I was trying to motion to them while playing...Derek came to the rescue just in time!

ALl the artists got a true gold with rosewood..THey all love them. Steve is actually considering retiring #! in favor of this one

Can't wait to see/hear the pro made vid. Even this "sonically challenged" vid was great to watch. I loved seeing Steve getting more and more into it as they progressed. Sure looks like everyone was having fun with it.

Does that mean JP got one, but with the BFR body in True Gold? If so, I hope to see it on DT's upcoming tour!

Cool video, and cool pics! I wish I could have made it to one of these.

I was at this event on Luke's side of the stage... great stuff! BP can lay down some funky funky groove on the bass and Luke and Steve were a treat to watch. Luke was hilarious... (BEEEEP!). That pedal-steel chord w/ harmonics technique that Steve showed off at Lukes request was siiiiiick. I need to learn how to do that. The "My Girl/Isley Bros medly" was a treat to listen to as well. Very, very well done, gentlemen!

I'll post up some cell phone pics ater tonight.
