its up to bp about sound files, i have em to post but, not sure how top secret these are, i assume pretty top secret. they should be, ive never heard anything like them, and i hope to keep them as a secret weapon as long as possible. totally insane. i had no idea how drastically strings could effect tone. in a beautiful way. yet another brilliant ebmm innovation. go brian!!!

First clue... The word "guts". Gut (yes, that gut) is a very traditional material used for upright bass strings. Gut won't work with magnetic pickups or, as I understand it, EBMM's version of piezos without the addition of some magnetic material. Which brings us to the next clue: the word "hybrid".

I doubt EBMM is using real gut for anything. But it sounds to me like some inside out nylon wrapped strings or something along those lines.

But that's just me...

I think a great part of this forum, not just the expertise, is the little bones to nibble on every once in a while to keep us guessing... and of course gas-ing!!!!!!!!!!!!
