Alright, so here I am. Rescently I've come to a new age of sound in my life and I've decided it's time for a new bass, I need to start afresh. So I figure, alright, I'm going to go down to my guy's shop and see what's there. Who knows, that used jazz that I play every time I go in there might still be there. I walk in and... the only words that could describe my reaction were "Holy Crap!". There, at the end of the bass section, hanging proudly and very freshyl(apparantly it had just been delivered an hour before I arrived) was a Stealth Bongo. Now it's funny because rescently I"ve been missing my ol' bonger much so, especially since seeing Jack use his with cowpilot, and there, right before me was the type of Bongo I said to myself I'd HAVE to try if I ever did see one. I did try it, and it was tight. The pricing is still being worked out, but I think I'm going for it. I'l keep you guys posted. Oh I'm all excited about having a Bongo back

btk was this guy that killed like 10 ppl by binding them tourturing and killing them. hes been killing since the 70s. these past 5 years he ahs kicked up his comunication with the public. putting clues around are town for the police to find mostly letters with awful grammer. that and barbie dolls wraped in panty house, BLAH BLAH BLAH. pretty much this guy not getting cought for thirty years shows how awfull the police system is in wichita. yeah. so in the last three months they finally caught him after anylizing a floppy disk he sent to the police. and who did it turn out to be. A HICK NAMED DENIS RADER. (i say that to explain the bad grammer) he was a dog catcher. that didnt even live in wichita anymore, outside wichita in some suburb.

all of this has meant an awful lot of really bad news reporting by our local news. everynight there is a ASTOUNDING BREAK IN THE BTK CASE. this turns out to be him standing mute in the court room. or them standing otside the court house three days after he was there and saying, what will happen next? for thirty freakin minutes.

yeah its sad for the family but the whole news about it has just made it really really annoying for most of us wichitans.

its the truth, the only thing abot wichita that has ever been on cnn is btk. i have all the respect in the world for the familys, especially since most of the murders happened within like a mile of my house. and like three of the 15 packages that where found from him where like a mile from my house. this whole thing has been extremly real and scary. like i said in no way was i disrespecting the famliys.

Thanks. I checked out the pics at Bass NW. They didn't help. I guess living vicariously won't do it, and I just need to get mine. I'm trying not to think about it, but this damn forum makes it impossible. Maybe I should get back to work....

Wow, we (or at least I) in the UK had no idea that stuff was going on.

And I think your reasoning behind using the reference in the first place was misguided at best so I won't hold it against you. We all say dumb things once ina while, right peeps?

hehe for sure I'll post as many pics as suitable Mugsy. And thanks for asking, frankly, I don't care if a thread I start is hijacked, I said what I had to say and now it belongs to the people, but not for what this had turned into. No disrespect to anybody in here, I think you're all just as tired as I am of arguments here on the board.

On that note, I may be on my way to go grab it shortly. Fingers crossed eh?
