My Albert Lee HH Black Sugar Roasted Maple has been in my possession for 5 months now, and quickly has become my favourite. It just plays so nice en resonates like he**! Normally I favor the unfinished necks, but I think I even prefer the roasted finished neck to the all rosewood neck of my regular AL HH..

Don't get me wrong, the other Balls all still get their playtime, but this one just plays so good. Lately there even have been thoughts of replacing one of them with another roasted guitar.

To the other roasted lovers out there (I know you exist): What is your favourite Roasted MM and why should I try to get one of those (just to fuel my gas, have to save up big time first).

Wow, funny enough I feel the exact same way! I prefer my roasted AL mm90 to my all rosewood AL mm90.

Love them both but roasted has the edge for me.

The finished necks on those roasteds is the best, after playing the unfinished necks for years I never thought I'd say that!

My Roasted Roller is by far the best EBMM guitar I own, it is perfection in everyway. My Roasted AL HH would be next in line. There is something amazing about those necks and the Roasting process plays a significant role in the tone department. I am so glad I grabbed two when they did the run as they were guitars that were at the top of my list. I ruthfully thought we were going to see a lot more Roasted runs but that has not been the case at all and I am glad I did not do the usual- I will get the other one next time.

The Rustic Classy look of the Roasted necks is a winning combination. Hopefully Music Man will offer them again. I would for sure be in line if they came up again. Keep the thread alive. Maybe Big Poppa will bring them back.

I also really liked the Ebony board as mentioned. But there were a few fully Roasted Maple Necks and finger boards that were released. I'm thinking they were done on the Bass side. I thought I saw one MM guitar that was fully Roasted Neck/Finger board....Maybe Fogman has or can find the post and the pic.

Beautifully roasted Balls, guyz! The ebony board is just da' bomb! Hope EBMM will begin building these again as an option.
