Either you like having an excuse to stay home, or your neighborhood must really be bad. I'm looking to try some EB flats. Got a good lead on where to buy?

This set came from Bass-Central. I hit every store in town and nobody had a set. Most every place had Slinky wounds, in several varieties. I also noticed that only one place had flats of any brand, all the rest of the stores didn’t carry them at all. One kid working at the biggest store in town actually said, “nah… we’ve never had them, nobody uses flats!”

I yelled, “By God Jack Williams does!!!” and stomped out of the store.

I didn't check around too much, but the GC here in town doesn't carry them, so I ordered them from Musician's Friend.

LMFAO! :D Something very 'Randracula' about that statement!

BTW, Flats are almost impossible to find in any store. It's a wonder anybody still makes them.

4:30pm and still no flats! I figured they would get here sooner since they are much lighter than a bass. Basses always come late here I thought because they are so heavy, plus the UPS guy likes to torture me, but a little two pound box with one set of strings in it takes all frigg'n day!!!

Did you look in the garage? under the bushes. It may be the UPS guy knows you will answer the door and snuck up and left the package.

You better go on front step arrest when they ship that bongo. :D :D

Today at 6:15pm my first set of EB Group III flatwound strings arrived. I will now to check how much beer is available because changing strings is a 4 beer job. I measure all tasks and jobs by the number of beers it takes to accomplish said tasks and jobs.

You can bet I’ll be under front porch arrest when I get the Bongo alert! :D :D :D

OK, I’m going to put these baby’s on a very beautiful ButterCream SR4. First I’ll scrub up and put on my white lab coat and eye protection. I’ll post some first thoughts later tonight…

Better get out the prostate checking gloves too. You don't want to scratch anything.

Tomorrow is my UPS house arrest day. A much larger package from Bass Central.

Speaking of Bass-Central they just got in their first batch of lefty Bongo's, but I promised Jack he'd get my next bass order... and they didn't have a H/S which made it easier to honor my promise

Yeah those and several other things will need to be hid.

I'm not letting her in the studio or the piano room, hell this job just gets easier by the minute. :D

I'm wondering if I should remove all the guns or just unload them.

When the cleaning crew comes, I put the guns in the studio then lock myself in here until they're done.

Does that seem antisocial?
