For a series loop, if you put volume after delay it'll affect all the sound going to the amp including delays. If you put it before delay then you can swell into the delay pedal and still get delays that taper off when you reduce the volume, just a different effect. In both cases the vol pedal will control your overall amp volume.
My amp has a parallel FX loop and I use the vol pedal to blend in the wet signal along with the dry tone (the Steve Morse approach). Gives me a bit of a volume boost but mostly allows me to swell effects in and out as I play.
I use the same approach. Just a little delay, verb, chorus when needed. Try it and see, if you don't like the sound don't use 'em.guertzi said:I'm afraid if it gets too much in the loop I will be killing the tone...
