I've also never used them in all my years of playing and can't imagine I'd need them. Never had a guitar fall.

My 89 American Standard Strat came with the schaller buttons on the guitar but none for the strap. That was weird but at least I was halfway there.

BEWARE of those Planet Waves straps - I bought one when I got my 05 AL.
Terrible strap - would not hold secure and the guitar came off that strap on 3 occasions!! I'll never get another. Man that strap made me angry!!!

the oldest strap i own is a planet waves locking one. and its seems a tough bit of kit ive really put some deliberate force on it before and couldnt budge it .
might be cause ur from cardiff and tend to get beat easily. like 5-1 for instance .:D:D:D;);)

This is a tuff one. A few years ago some other guitar makers started making strap lock std on gutars above a certain $$$ figure. Once I bought a set of EB strap locks I started thinking "man these should be std on all Balls" with the said I had no intention of pissing BP off by asking for onther option! I would love if they did but I hear everyones point about liking other brands. Lastly unless you are buying from smaller (awsome) dealer like those guys in CT and that place in FL that has bass in their name you run the risk of the larger dealers losing the part that goes on the strap and then everyone will be contacting EB customer service for half a strap lock. :( It sucks but we all know it's true

Well I think all new guitars should come with a matching amp as well:p

Really strap locks, straps, and other acesories are a matter of personal choice and taste, plus really do not need extra dollars added to the cost for such items.

I'm one of the ones that is glad they don't come with strap locks (unless they are dual function). I have them on one of my guitars, and it's a pain to change straps unless you have extra parts. They're nice, but I'd rather have the choice...

My N4 Vintage came standard with DiMarzio strap-locks, but I ditched them in favor of the Schaller locks. I like to remove my strap when I put the guitar in the case, and these work great. The only complaint is they're noisy, but if you can hear them over your playing, your amp isn't loud enough :D

Why don't all Balls came with Private lessons with the Artists??? For the money we are paying I want Albert, Luke, Morse and Petrucci to personally teach me how to play.... (you all know Im joking right?)
