I was wondering how most of you got your EBMMs.

Was it from eBay? did you order it? buy it off the wall? how???

You can vote more than once (except ernie1966! :p he might break the poll!) for those of you fortunates that have more than one!

Bought my 93 EVH from a store that no longer is an EBMM authorized dealer here in NY. Had them open up every box before I chose the one I wanted.

Sitting here waiting for my ordered AL, should be only two weeks or so to go :D :D

Where did you order yours from, Mr. Fog ? :)

Actually,
I've been doing correspondence with our newer Canadian dealer - psychipet (Pete).
But I still have his info. Thank Beth! :)

I ordered both from my local dealer, Dan's Guitars in Honolulu.

Before I ordered the Axis SS, he actually let me take home his own personal EVH for a few days for me to play with since he didn't have any kind of Axis in the store to let me try out. How cool is that! :)

The Luke was my very first guitar. I knew nothing about electric guitars, had no clue what a humbucker was vs. single coil, active vs. passive pickups, etc. All I knew was that Luke had made an absolutely glowing endorsement of EBMM and that his signature guitar was said to be versatile. So I ordered a Luke with piezo for added versatility.

My Luke was bought online at guitars4you in the UK. Didn't see the actual guitar before I bought it but I just trusted the company that my Luke would be a nice (well, of course EVERY EBMM is nice, but the one is nicer than the other..) one.

<---- dumb luck & ordered. I stumbled upon a used JP and worked out a trade with the owner for a new, special order JP.

The Blue Dawn Axis Sport I bought off GDavis so he could pick up a rare EB, and my y2d was special ordered. The 20th anniversary Silhouette I am currently awaiting is also a special order.

once upon a time........

In 1999 I got back into gigging, bought me a Clapton Strat to start off. One day I saw an ad for the Wolfgang in a mag. I went to my local music store to ask about it and maybe order one. My friend at the store said that I should go with the EBMM Axis because it was originally the EVH and that EBMM makes way way better guitars than Peavy. I want green, not offered anymore sos I orders me a blue one, but the 3-4 month wait, arghh!!!!

So I start looking on eBay and bid on a Red Axis. I lose but someone writes me and says, I saw you bidding, blah, blah, blah, 950 shipped for his mint Red Axis. So I send him a check. A couple of weeks later I have my first EBMM in hand. I was blown away! To end the sory, when my ordered Axis arrives, guess what, it ain't blue it's green, Jackpot!

Both off Ebay USA.....saved about 50% on both maybe more on what it would have cost to buy in UK and thats if I could even have sourced a 2005 Ltd Edition JP in Buttercream here!
