Isn't there quite a bit of plastic in that? - Don't trust plastic at all in straps.

This was a big concern of mine when I made the switch to Cliplock straps. I was previously using Schaller locks and they work great. I even put them on my wife's silhouette since she wanted a foofy strap instead of a cliplock.

I can safely say the Cliplock straps being made with plastic or not are built to last forever. I have NEVER had one break.

I remember fellow knucklehaed Great Wazoo having a strap's plastic bit break ( it wasn't a Cliplock) and it wasn't pretty... ... but I'm glad that you haven't had one break on ya.

I got so paranoid about it once that I had a length of leather with no buckle - just a strap lock either end.
