All 3 of my EBMM Axis Sports came from Reverb. But pure coincidence only. I'm not a huge reverb guy but happened to see all three for very fair prices and pounced. All 3 came in pristine condition. I buy from ebay too.

Luckily I'm pretty happy with my collection at the moment. The one I keep an eye on is the CL/FS thread here, since that turns up interesting items.

When I'm on the hunt, it's Reverb, various forums (since the Reverb stuff is always posted somewhere else for less), and local ads- Facebook Marketplace/Kijiji (sort of a Canadian Craigslist). I'm in a big city so there's always interesting stuff that's not too far away.

Guitar Center's used pages can be pretty great as well. I've scored a few good items from them.
I just wish GC would spring for a lightbox and some lessons for people taking the pics. I swear most of their pics look like bad mugshot photos.

Their pics look like the ones scammers take when they're trying to pass off a fake a lot of the time. :)

I've bought and sold a lot of guitars on both Reverb and Ebay over the years...it all depends on the seller, really, IMHO. I've only had one bad transaction really on Reverb (where I was the seller and the guy quibbled about guitar weight -- on a semi-hollow, no less -- and Reverb backed him -- so now I note that all weights are approximate and not done on a precision device. Silly, but works.)

That's also the upside ... if you know what you're looking for you can snag a good deal :)

The downside is (and this has happened to me) is that you get a guitar that's in far worse condition than you expected. Luckily, the return was easy, but it was disappointing.

Yep hate the way GC does used, bad pictures and descriptions and for me anyways never what I expected

Worst was a Joe B sig gold top LP, only one bad pic of the front supposedly mint condition, I had it shipped to the store, always smart with GC, unboxed it right there and no where near mint, case was rough, top not clean and the back of the guitar looked like a beaver attacked it.

Returned it right then and there :)

I'm in a college town. The amount of great gear that comes through the used stores here is astounding sometimes.
I read your response and thought, "nah, can't be." It was! Lawrence! Haha yeah Mass Street has some good stuff go through.

I'm down in Wichita.
