Love that emerald burst.

When I had my luke (sold it to fund my JP) I used it for metal with my cover band and my original stuff all the time. I switched out the 85 EMG for an 81 in the bridge, which I liked personally. I believe it was your suggestion if I remember correctly?

I use a Silo Special for Progressive Metal, so I know what you mean! My next MM will hopefully be a Luke. They have an amazing neck!

ya i use my BFR Luke for metal all the time. I've considered putting an 81 in the bridge many times cuz I have one laying in my drawer but I like the tone a lot as is and havent decided against messing with it

great axe

This is the Pitfall of EBMM guitars. You have to have all of em. Axis, Silo, Luke, SM, JP, doesn't matter!

They're like Pokemon. Ya gotta have 'em all, and it hurts a broke college student. But they're worth it. Was trying out a Luke the other day, it feels and SOUNDS great. But I have gargantuan hands (I'm a big tall Korean guy) and the smaller neck took some getting used to.

scooby im 6'2 the neck is awesome for me

Yeah, it feels great. Like I said, it just takes some getting used to and its all heaven from there.

Traveling up and down that neck and positioning awkward chords with a Luke is seriously something that has to be played to understand!

However, I'm looking for an HH setup with Piezo. So JP for me :D

I do every style with my Luke, from Jazzy to Metal.
The combination with the Boogie gives a killer tone, with lots of harmonics if I want to.
The Rectifier setting on the Tri with the Luke is monstrous!
A little fiddling with volume or tone pot is often enough.
