How much are the standard models? I think I remember seeing them go for 1299.

Yep, the standard black tolex/black grille are $1299. The thing with the optional finishes and grilles is that you'll be fine as long as you order just a different tolex/grille color, but once you get to the hardwoods and such, the price is a bit steep.
Still a fantastic amp nonetheless. I for one am debating whether to keep my Mark III or sell it to buy a custom V:25.
