I was thinking of selling mine (changed my mind) but during the process someone asked me to weigh it and it came up at 8.8lbs. This was over 1lb heavier than my LP classic. I've seen numbers that seem to indicate Mid-7lb average. Is mine some sort of Sally Struthers of the guitar world?

Is this a Luke I with a Floyd Rose tremolo system, those trem systems add additional weight?

Correct....I thought of that but I wasn't sure a Gotoh Floyd could account for a pound over the EBMM trem...Then I looked and those weight ~39oz...

I'm on my second Luke II, and it's definitely heavier than the first and they are both 08' models.
Don't have a scale, but I'm guessing it's in the 8lb range. Still very comfortable to play even for extended sets. (sometimes we do a 2 hr. show w/ no breaks)
