Way cool! So I can hear some stuff I might be interested in. Been thinking the 15" combo would be a better find than the 12". Sweet!

Thanks MarBass!

Two (2) Little Mark II bass heads.

Now for the cabs.

i went to GC last sat to try a lil mark but they were sold out :) (that's a good thing!!!)

sucks that i didnt get to try one but they said they'll get more soon. looking FWD to playing one at OH.

also, ya, the luke is a badass guitar - i want one... i mean 2, or ok fine, 3. and there's a bongo huh? one of these days i gotta get me one of those.

Randy's GAS for a Bongo has become contagious! randy and i have a lot of overlap in our musical and gear tastes so if he likes em, then dammit, i guess i would too...

damn these pre money, tech startups! mo work, less pay

Cowpilot rehearsed tonight and since we had BP's blessing, we broke out the good stuff.

1. Mark Bass Little Mark II paired with the 1-15 and the 2-10 KILLED. I'm not sure that with my ears, anything could ever replace my old school Sunn/Ampeg rig, but this was damned nice. I expected to be underwhelmed; I was not. It was punchy, warm, plenty of power running at 4 ohms, and I can completely see myself someday, when I have money, going with this setup for a gigging rig.

The Sunn/Ampeg rig weighs about 175 pounds. The Mark Bass rig does NOT. It's just unbelievable. You guys who are coming to Dallas will see and hear and probably believe. It's definitely on my Xmas list.

2. The Luke. Brian, a Tele guy and proud to tell you he's a hacker, could not see himself playing this. "It's just too damned nice for someone like me." I can't wait for our lead guitarist to try it, though. He might swallow his tongue. Brian could understand how good it was, but as a rhythm guitarist (and somewhat of a throwback), it really was over his head. Mine, too, although I still want one because it makes me BELIEVE I could play guitar.

3. Sterling's Silo Special. Now this one, we all agreed, was something we could all play. Even our drummer was ready to start guitar lessons. Still too nice for Brian, but he was willing to strap it on (he was frightened of the Luke) and give it a go. The Silo has any number of great tones in it and you don't have to work hard to find them. BP, I think we can sell Brian pretty easily on this guitar, although he's sort of hot for an Albert Lee.

Being me, I've always sort of hoped we could turn Cowpilot into a completely Music Man band.....I think we have Brian convinced! Andy, our drummer, said, "Do they make percussion stuff?"

What a fun night. Sort of a precursor to 3 November.

We're going to have fun, I think.

Thanks, BP, for letting us play with your stuff.

Run, don't walk. Get you one of these rigs!

Somewhere around 8 pounds, I would guess. It's on my Xmas list.

I've tried to tell him to buy another strap, but look what we've had to do.

Brian still covering up the evidence. The bass was a lot of fun to play!

See how he labors? Me, I've got a martini and a Bongo with a rosewood neck, so I'm not terribly worried.

This is where he's starting to realize that THIS IS NOT A TELECASTER.

"Too good for me. I see it, I really do, but way too good for me."

I think you guys are really going to like these guitars, which I am sure you'll have a chance to play, so don't hate me. I just got started early, that's all.

BP, that Silo of yours is a work of art, sir.

Left the head flat and only fooled around with the V switches.

I don't know what they do, exactly, but I can see I won't have to really give the EQ much thought.
