Anyone know how long a guitar takes to show up at your dealer's door? Im curious what the wait time is. Im thinking of ordering a white silo special, so kinda easy to make so should it take shorter in time?

not sure if Beth can answer this since Ill be ordering from Canada.

thanks, KnuckleHEADS!!!!

It depends on the time of year, how much is already in the pipeline, etc. Things like ordering something before it is discontinued - along with everyone else who decided they can't live without an EBMM (insert favorite model here) in (insert favorite color set to be discontinued here), ordering within a couple of months of one of the two NAMM shows (EBMM is not only producing standing orders but mixing in producing examples of the new models for the show) can impact delivery times and might stretch it out a couple of weeks.

Case in point: I ordered an olive gold Silo Special on October 14 (the day before the final order cut-off for both colors being discontinued and for the 25th Anniversary models). I believe it left SLO on January 29, went cross-country to DuBaldos in CT, then came back to me in KY last night. That was about 3 1/2 months from order to leaving the factory; then add in a couple of weeks for shipping to get to you depending if your using a local dealer or getting one from an out-of-town dealer. Still not a big deal; that's pretty reasonable turn-around for a guitar that isn't even started until your dealer places your order with EBMM.

Why no "NGD" posts from me? Well, since our friends at UPS didn't drop it off until about 6:00pm last night, I've only been able to take the case out of the box, open it up briefly and make sure there wasn't any shipping damage. I'm letting it thaw out before tuning it up and plugging it in tonight; pictures and posting over the weekend.:D

Our lead time is roughly 10 weeks for standard pieces. BFRs, LEs, Stealth, etc. can take a bit longer.

Lot's of factors can influence the lead time -- making stuff out of wood is tricky. ;)

and thats why those of us who were lucky enough to jump on the GC 2hb AL's are so happy we did! Though, the extra 3 months to save a little more $$$ would have been nice too...

Either way, 10 weeks for a standard wait time isn't that bad. At least you know that the guitar is being made just for you... and no, I don't feel like I adopted a Stray with the AL since I merely gave it a home instead of ordering it to be born.
