Hi

I just got a used mint 05 LE Buttercream HS 5 string. I heard the buttercreams were the first stingrays to get dual pickups and that there were only about 20 or so HS 5-strings made.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks!

I had an HH buttercream until recently. And I think it was Dargin that told us the HS and HH production combined together totalled almost 20. So yeah not many of each.

It's really a phenomenal bass. Sure, it's quite the looker, but the tone is unbelievable and the variety of tones you can get with the humbucker, single coil, and piezo is truly awesome. It's a shame more people have not had the chance to play a fretless Bongo. They are freak'n Magic.
