Hahahahaha. I had a ragdoll for a LONG time.

The reason we picked her out was because when I was 1 year old, we had to take her because I was chewing on her whiskers.

Miss that cat...

Thread Hijack of the Year Award.

Interesting how a thread about "lurkers" has people thinking cats.

Dogs have owners, cats have staff.

Back to your regularly scheduled thread...

I do find it completely amazing how much this forum has grown (both members and lurkers) since I joined in 05. I'm really curious to see how this year's bash is going to compare to the OH!

I've said it before - it's completely unbelievable how many people sign on each and every day to a manufacturer's forum.

No politics, no religion, not much in the way of off-topic - just the instruments and strings and Wonder Wipes, and we still kick the ass of a number of other 'open' bass forums.

That is just plain unreal.

And lurkers galore.

We're doing something right. For every person who thinks it's wrong that we won't allow wide-open discussion of, say, replacement pickups, there must be a hundred people who understand what this is all about.

You guys, you old-timers, you can be a rough crowd. I'm going to take this opportunity to remind you that the new guy doesn't have the corporate knowledge that you do, so try to keep that in mind.

Otherwise, I say let's keep doing what we've been doing.

And thanks to you all for making it so much FUN.

I love this place!

I hope you guys enjoy me just 1/2 as much as I enjoy you guys! I log in here several times a day just to see whats happening...... I want so bad to come to the Desert and be apart of the forum get-together, but I can't get off work for it, I've used my vacation time already, and I just can't take off, I've got a Blue Dawn to pay for!

Hopefully next time I can come!........ along with Mrs. Evans

19 members and 440 guests - that's for the entire forum.

Staggering, really.

10 members and 99 guests at the Dudpit.

Now Talkbass has us beat, but I'm not overly concerned about that.

:D

This thread is like a DNA molecule--I choose the cat strand. Currently, we're down to 4 indoor cats: Nico, Jinx, Zippy, & Snot. (Plus the 3 shih tzus: Linus, Lucy, & Sam; & Avis the African Grey). Here's where my wife & I diverge--I would love to have a hairless Sphinx cat & a hairless crested dog--my wife hates the look of both. Even if I buy another Bongo, I will still want a hairless cat & a hairless dog. What to do?
