I've seen Bad Salad and I'd assume they have a member or two here... lol We're on there, and we've definitely noticed an increase in traffic on our Reverbnation page, facebook page, etc. ever since we were featured as Jeremy's Thursday pick and got on the home page. You don't have to be good to get high on the charts, but you do to get the Roadrunner employees' badges or featured on the webpage. Of course, an A&R guy might like you enough to sign you, but even if not and you're a good band, the exposure seems to have already proven to be worth it, and I'd bet money there are other labels who have had interns scouting the page looking for bands on Roadrunner's dime. lol Plus, who knows what managers, booking agents, promoters, PR folks, radio programmers, etc. might be lurking on such a high profile and growing web page.

Might be worth it to a lot of you guys here... I thought I'd share my experience and thoughts of the effectiveness of the page. It's not a completely perfect system as there are ways to pad your stats (although most of them they'll adjust for) but if you're not any good, padding your stats won't help you get good reviews, good rates, or any positive attention from A&R folks.

From a browser point of view, if you listen to many bands, keep in mind that everyone on there thinks they're good enough to get signed. There have been a band or few that made me do a double take. lol

HI im the other guitar player in bipolar echo btw LOL thanks for the nice comments. We did not produce ourselves we were contacted by beau hill to do our production for us.

its a funny story really ..... we were using one of the myspace auto friend request programs and it sent one to beau hill and at the time we had a mix from the studio. He liked our songs and thought we had potential and before we had even fully decided as a band to even go for it he emailed us a rough mix of weird days that he experimented with .... WOW we were blown away to say the least and of course he did the rest of the songs.

I think we turned a relatively big Austin based guitar player on to Music Mans as well... lol It was odd seeing someone else play my guitar on stage, but it sure sounded good. lol I think I created a new Mesa Boogie fan as well. lol

We did produce ourselves, then Beau mixed it and did some extra producing during that process. Technically it was produced by us, Bryan Cooke (the engineer), and then Beau Hill. It just took a whole new life when Beau got a hold of it (as would be expected. lol)

I think Jacob and I need to be endorsed Imma tellin ya... LOL We're always turning guitar players on to the joys of Music Mans. LOL ;)
