Hey guys,

Just wondering how many silver sparkle sterlings were ever made? I own one and a lot of bassists have been asking me to sell it to them. The serial number is f0486.

Cheers guys:)

I can say I haven't seen another like it. It looks great. That might be one you want to hold onto. Unless of course the market is flooded with them where you are;) . Still, its beautiful. Whenever I see that sparkle, I always think of the old Kustom amps that were rolled and padded. Like retro, you know:cool:

I actually have a white perloid pickguard on it at the moment. Took the white one off. Some guy offered me $2500Aus for it, but I want to keep it.

Just wondering how rare they are/were etc. I had a blue pearl one as well but I sold it. Not as nice as this one. Thanks for the responses guys.

I would def. say go with the clear pickguard, my blue dawn sterling has a clear pickguard and its just so nice to be able to see the whole finish on top in all its sparkly glory. I second not selling it. Those are probably pretty rare to come by, you should keep it.

Ive seen a VERY SMALL number of silver sparkle Sterlings, and only two StingRay 5s in that finish. Ive only seen one StingRay 4 in silver sparkle, and I owned that one.

Dayum Travis. Sweet pics. How do you manage to make them sparkle so in what looks like normal room lighting?

Hey guys, cheers heaps for all of your responses. I will not sell it. I may just retire it for a while though as I do not like to use it heaps. Plus, the fingerboard is practically impossible to clean and it's already showing some wear. I would love to get my hands on a red sparkle stingray. Does EB do custom order's?
