Ok i am starting to save up for my first EBMM and I want sort of a ballpark estimate.

So can anyone please tell me the retail value of a new JP-F1 7 string?

Thanks,

Someone can provide the MSRP (list price) for him. That should get him his ballpark of what it may end up costing. Don't know if they've been finallized yet though.

Its the actual price between dealer and customer (street price) for new gear that we don't discuss.

Used prices are OK as well.

gosh i hate to think what the Australian price is, way over $6000 probably. i could get 6 used Alberts!

i'm sure the BR's are worth every penny, good luck to all you guys who are getting one!!!!

Hey! Rob that is quite pricey there:eek: ....I would think about it this way you have a wonderful collection of EBMM guitars right now, and a couple more used or new AL's won't hurt.

I still can't decide if I can afford one or not. I mean, I can pay for it, but can I afford it? Oh the questions. But then again, it's a good investment, right? It will hold its value well, no?

I thought the thread starter was asking for the 7-string?

Just got in touch wiht my dealer today, MSRP for the JP F1 6-string is US$4,000; 7-string is US$4,200.

rob2: No way! AU$6,000 for a JP F1??? That's just crazy...

Hi Guys....If anybody has any questions or concerns regarding International Pricing on Music Man, please feel free e-mail me directly. It seems as if this subject has been coming up a lot as of late. As you all know there are numerous hidden costs in importing an American made instrument into an outside country. Also please feel free to e-mail me if you have any other questions or concerns.

-Cheers

It seems to be pretty normal that anything that comes from the US just has the $ signs swapped for a £ sign in the UK. Not just EBMMs, everything else as well.

Tim, you're a wee bit off with the $8000 estimate. It's more like $7000

And way, way too rich for my blood. If it was a straight conversion ($3999= £2350) then we might be in business, but as it stands, I could buy a new Y2D, JP6 and still have change for that.

At the minute the exchange rate is roughly 2 to 1 believe it or not!

According to xe.com $3999 = £2037.12

and if indeed the retail here in the uk is £3999 then that does in fact = approx $7851.65

Either way Ali and me are both out of the game....damn. Waiting for so long and then denied!

I would contact your dealer before counting yourself out yet, the actual street price is usually far off from the MSRP.
