I'm directing this primary at Bongo owners. I normally find a setting on my GK fairly close to flat(boosted mids and highs) and i do everything else on the onboard EQ. Yesterday was the first time i touched the EQ on my amp in a couple months or so. So how often do you change it up?

i have to agree here guys, im a tweak bass and mid up on the bongo eq about a gnats tit amount. the SVT gets left well alone apart from an occasional gain boost when godzilla starts breathing fire

I like to mess around with different eqs, I have to really. Probably every time I play. Besides playing different music (metal, jazz, ska, funk) I like to shift the EQ to make the B string tigher when i play my sr5.

+ what the other guys said. I'm a "set and forget" kind of guy.

The Bongo EQ makes it easy to do. I hardly even touch the EQ on the bass, either. Just roll between the pickups a bit....how easy is that?

I like those guys who say, "I don't like the Bongo because it gives me too many options and I get confused."

Um......sure.

the day i got my bongo, i set my amp's EQ flat, and i have left it like that.

because my bongo is relatively new i am still learning what all it can do- for example, it was just the other day i learned not to dime the volume. it seems like what i have been digging the most is having the low mid boosted just a touch, the high mid boosted even less than that, and switching between both pickups blended and 75% bridge/25% neck as needed, though i am finding that the bongo is very responsive to where your plucking hand is, and as i get used to that more i will probably run the preamp flatter and flatter until it's completely flat.
