We usually do 3-4 shows a month. Things will be a bit sparse through July/August due to vacations, weddings, honeymoons, etc. Once September rolls around, things will be starting to get really hectic for us. Let's put it this way, hectic enough to start thinking about my next Ball.

I've been pretty fortunate the last couple of years...

I've got my own group going plus I've been getting a lot of calls as a 'hired gun" or sideman for a number of different entertainers, comedians and impersonators who need a guitarist for short runs.

I was also lucky enough to be a part of a Casino house band that played 5 nights a week/7 shows a week for about 3 years. Again playing for all the different acts that came though. It was a lot of pressure at times, but still (for the most part) it was fun.

Nowadays anywhere from 2-5 nights a week (with whomever will have me) :) ...but mainly with my own project.

Hmm - 3 - 5 times per month between family (4 kids-hockey, lacrosse, gymnastics, soccer.......), full-time job, house, yard - you know the drill. Let's put it this way - you can tell Martha Stewart doesn't live at my house!!

.............but if I didn't gig I'd go bonkers!

It varies, but lately have been playing out 8-10 times a month. I play in a band, front another band, and do some "Hired Gun" casuals. Occasionally I do a louge lizard duet act. I have another 4 piece group that's just getting together now, and hopefully that will also begin to play out soon.

I used to give lessons, but just don't have the time anymore.

I'm eligible to retire from the fire department in less than 5 years, and am trying to get into a position where I can leave that career asap thereafter and just play music for a living.

Used to be out all the time, but I haven't played live in front of more than 5 people in over 5 years....... looking for a band in Invernes (anybody know of anybody>?)

Music Scene up here is weird so....been keeping sharp with backing tracks in my studio, but not the same as the live sound!

not playing live any more since october 2003 :(

last gig in Front of 3000 people (but as a singer not as a Guitarist that time), I am missing the exitment of playing live though the studio work is also very challenging.

Every few moths, averagely speaking. (that's pretty good considering that I'm 14)

Well, actually, I haven't had a real gig (2 Christmas songs doesn't count) since November, and now I'm having 3-4 in a week :D

(I actually play drums in a band, believe it or not) :) And I'm now searching for a drummer and singer for the band where I'm gonna play guitar in.

I recently did 8 months straight, playing 6 nights a week. We did two 4 month residencies back to back. One in China and one in Thailand. Awesome experience, although I developed a numbness problem in my fretting hand. I'd play four sets everynight and practise all day. Just too much. We arrived back in Oz at the beginning of the year and I haven't gigged since. I had hoped that rest would have rectified the problem, but its still there. Ive got to get this thing checked out.
On a happier note, Im seeing Toto on Sunday!

I am in a "cover-tunes" only band, and we play Friday and Saturday of just about every weekend in a small circuit in Southwestern Ontario. In the summer, when the bars tend to prefer to cut back on their expenses and not hire bands, we fill our weekends with weddings, "stag and doe" parties, outdoor parties, community events and lately, studio work. Certainly keeps us busy.....
