assuming that the saddles are fully lowered, and the trusswheel is loose.

how would you set up a bass so that you dont get fret buzz, etc.

yes, thats how to set up your bass (i titled the thread wrong)

what i want to know is assuming i have just put the saddles and neck on, how do i set up from there?

and what is 3/32?

If you use the search feature....you'll find all the info you need....there's a lot of deep discussion about it. Key words "setup", "truss rod adjustment", "fret buzz" etc etc. I've put together a mini-manual on setup. If you need, I can email it to you. And "3/32" is 3/32nds of an inch. It's a fraction. Us old folks know about ancient history like that. We can also tell the time on those old fashioned clocks that have hands instead of digital displays.
