How underrated is the Axis Sport?

Traded my '97 axis in to buy an Albert Lee because it had a trem and the idea of a rosewood neck on the Lee was intriguing. I have come to regret doing it. Not that I don't like the Albert Lee. But I really miss the feel of the rounded Axis.

It's the mahogany body and rosewood neck. It's the exact same one that Albert demos on the company website. Even has the same Dimarzio pickups. It's a great guitar for sure. The finish and woods are amazing. I just wish I had not traded in the Axis as a down payment and instead footed the entire bill for the Albert Lee on my hotel credit card. I would have come away with an extra night at the Hilton with the points.

I'm really a bass player first and foremost. The Axis sits better on my lap when I'm playing seated and I like the way my picking arm can sit up top on the rounded side verses the Lee. Maybe I'm nit picky....Small playing type stuff. I'll get another axis one day.

Who knows, maybe my purple Axis one will show up for sale again! I'll sing "reunited, because it feels so good" if that happens...
