Right - here goes:

1996 - Piano (carried up till a few years ago when I moved to a flat) :(
1997 - Bassoon at school (soon gave that up as carrying it all the way to and from school nearly killed me at the tender age of 13)
1999 - Flute

Carried on with the flute and piano all the way up till 2003/2004. I'd always wanted to learn bass, but my dad didn't think it a suitable instrument for a teenage girl

Step up Hubby of the Year 06/07 (his own award, not mine ;)) who bought me one from eBay. Prob was I was a bit fussy and couldn't find one I wanted. Didn't like the look of Jazzes, Precisions, EB-somethings... and I narrowly missed out on an OLP that I really liked (see, it's fate that's drawn me to MM!) So in the end we settled on:

Aug 04 - Shine SB something... was actually a really nice bass for the money in trans red
Aug 06 - purchased my first MM - a CAR Sterling! T-minus 6 DAYS and counting... :D

(Geez, that's a long post for not a lot of basses...)

I didn't mention my Mako Strat copy, my Fender Strat, my Gibson Les Paul, my Martin D-35, my miscellaneous instruments like a vintage Vega tenor banjo, or my 16 or 17 violins. :D
