Have to admit to watching the concert for the Queens Diamond Jubilee, and I see that a leftie MM 5 string bass was very prominent during the concert. Wonder who the bass player was?

Golem you are right in what you say, and as I have the official title of "HM Inspector of Taxes" I tried to save face and disprove your statement but was unable to do so.`
.... I do bleeb it's "HRM the Queen" ?
Prince Phillip would be "HRH" [FWIW].
`
" a piece about the Jubilee in last Saturday's (UK National paper) magazine. It referred to the Queen as "HRH QEII" and again as "HRH 'Lilibet'". We shall pass over the jaunty nicknames, but this "HRH" business has gone far enough ... ... ... ... everybody has a right to make fun of royal titles, but they should get them right.
HRH stands for His/Her Royal Highness, a style associated with princes and princesses of the United Kingdom – that is to say with the children of sovereigns and the children of the sons of sovereigns. That is the general rule, established by George V, though there are exceptions. Most, but by no means all, of the people you think of as members of the Royal Family are Royal Highnesses. The Queen is not. She is Her Majesty – HM, as in HM Government, HM Revenue and Customs and so on. [end quote]
Not that anyone but me cares, but I did like the fact that although Sir
Elton plays Yahama pianos and his keyboard player plays mostly Yamaha
keyboards, in most of the tight-in shots, I saw very prominently the
Kurzweil brand floating as it wer over Elton's head for most of his set.
It was the uppermost board in the keys player stack. Bet Yamaha was
not much pleased.
Anyways, loved the overall quality of the TV audio feed, Sir Paul's
basses, and Stevie's bassist on Sir Duke.
I guess Stevie's an honorary Briton, then?
