In a couple of the positions for the HS electronics, there are single coil only settings. Question is this: is there a phantom coil like on the Sterling / SR5 to eliminate hum or are they true single coil with all "classic" hum?

thanks,
Rich

My HS Bongo hums at certain venues unless I turn the single coil completely off.

My fretless Bongo has experienced single coil hum only in the least friendly neon-beer-sign/dirty electricity filled environment. And, it's only bad when I have the single coil soloed--and, even that is only noticable between songs.

It certainly wouldn't stop me from buying another SC/H Bongo.
