I am a super happy owner of a new HSS 25th Anniversary 4 stringer that I got from Pete D. The bass is really hard to sum up but it's beautiful, very lively accoustically, super comfortable, and has a really complex tone in all its settings. There's nothing dull or thumpy about it. I'm still oogling over all the different tones on it.

Basically, she sounds amazing.

It has been really cool watching this bass start out as an idea of BP's and evolve into this masterpiece.

Gorgeous!! So what are your impressions so far, can you describe the sound and playability?

The sound is really rich and full. I don't have a bongo (I know I'm a loser) but I now understand what you all are saying about the tone. With this bass, there is just so much of it. I guess that's my impression, she just has so much tone. Even with the neck pick up soloed, there is a lot of definition.

And playability. She feels solid and silky. Because of the body size, this feels like a bass I good play a fiver on and be comfortable!

Thanks for the compliments everyone else!

Sweetness and a bag of chips... Color me jealous! :). It's nice to see one at home and in an artists hands!

Wow. Just wow. It somehow looks better in these photos than the ones from perfect bass etc...maybe just because someone actually OWNS it.

Beautiful.
