Hi you Stingray players!

This is my first message on the Ernie Ball forum and I must say
it is looking great!
It was really hot on the Frankfurter Music Messe and I just have got to have a new Bongo, it plays and sounds like a dream.......
(Thanks Beth.....)
Anyway, here is a solution for you guys out there who want
to get rid of the last bit of hum (while not touching your bass' strings or bridge) on your Stingray 4 babies!
Remove the pickguard and the bridge and also the Pick-up.
Put aluminium foil under the pick-up and pickguard.
Don't forget to use some isolation (plastic) on the foil under the
PU(dont let the foil touch the PU magnets!)
Connect the foil under the PU to the foil under the pickguard
with alufoil (again!).
Get a small strip of copper foil about a half inch wide (just like
on the older Jazzbass) and connect the foil under the pickguard
to the bridge (that is under the bridge).
Replace the PU and the rest of all the parts.

Good Luck.......
