Hi All,

Let me Introduce myself !

My name is David, I live in France (nobody's perfect) and I am newly registered on this forum.

I have just purchase an amazing Axis guitar (Tobacco Sunburst)

and I would like to know what kind of switch should I use in order to split the humbuckers of my killing Axis.

Is it a 250K or 500k ?

Linear or Log ?

do you recommand Push/Pull or Push Push switch ?

Any recommanded brand ?

What are the default value of the Volume switch ?

Looking foward for your answers

Best regards,

David:)

Bonjour David,

Here's what I do when splitting 'buckers on my guitars - I haven't done this with my Axis, but on a few others...

You want a good quality 500K audio taper (log) pot. Push/Pull pots are common and there are good ones out there, but I prefer Yamaha's Push/Push pots (when I can get them). I believe that Yamaha is the only manufacturer still putting out Push/Push pots. The Yamaha Push/Push is a great pot with two provisos: first, they're fragile if you mishandle them, and second, they're expensive. The volume pot should be 500K as well.

good luck,
Jim
