Hybrid bass strings

I wanted to hear from anyone who has used the hybrid bass strings on a sterling and how much different they are from the super slinky's. Which set would give me the best possible intonation on the "e" string? Thanks....

Does string gauge affect intonation? Seriously, I didn't know that.

I've always heard so. Never tested it, don't know much, can't tell the real truth on the matter.

as for intonation, I would assume that the gauge it left the factory with or was most recently set up(professionally) with would be the best to use.

I really can't comment on the intonation but I put hybrids on my sterling once and it seemed rather unbalanced. Never tried them on a 'ray but they really do well on my bongo 4HH. I thought about trying them on my bongo 4H but didn't care for the thought of possible window replacement.

If you're that sensitive to intonation, you probably should switch to playing fretless. There you have total control over intonation regardless of string gauge.
